I was born in Peoria, Illinois and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. I graduated from Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind (ASDB) and National Technical Institute of the Deaf (NTID). I accepted Christ as my personal Savior in October 1990. In April 1991, I am blessed to be married to my lovely wife, Cheryl, whom she prayed for me seven years. My wife and I were members of First Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, New York for ten years. After I graduated from North Star Bible Institute in 1997, I prayed to the Lord for what He would like me to do for Him.
One night in February 1999, I received an unexpected phone call from Pastor Eugene Bordean from Columbus, Ohio. He asked me if I was interested to be an assistant pastor as he was dying of pancreatic cancer. After visiting Pastor Bordean and their church, the Lord touched my heart and it was definitely the Lord’s plan. My family and I moved to Columbus in July 1999. It is an honor to serve the Lord as a pastor of Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf (LBCD) for 21 years.
Cheryl and I have been married for 30 years and have two beautiful children, Jonas (26) and Anna (23). Jonas got married last summer of June 2019 and Anna just graduated from Liberty University of May 2020. I am SO thankful for my serving God, my family and my LBCD family.
