I was born in Florida three months premature. I almost died, but God saved me. I stayed in the hospital for three months. My Mother was not married and left me in the hospital to be adopted. I was adopted by a wonderful Christian family. When they adopted me, they did not know I was Deaf, but later after finding out I was deaf- they dedicated their lives to working with the Deaf. When I was 12 years age, I made a profession of faith and was baptized. My mother did not know sign language at the time, but had explained the plan of salvation using gestures, pictures, and speaking. I wasn’t truly saved until a few years later. My family had moved to Oklahoma, and I was attending a Bible Study for the Deaf. By that time, I had learned sign language and finally understood about salvation when it was explained to me in ASL. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 19 years old. Later I attended Tenn. Temple University and studied to become a Deaf Pastor. I have been in Deaf Ministry for more than 40 years. I am married to Sherry and have two sons, David and Jonathan. Both of my sons are married, and I have 5 grandchildren. We are presently serving at Harvest Baptist Church for the Deaf and Harvest Deaf Bible College.
